Plan a cook, track your pit, snap a photo of your bark — GrillPilot tells you what to do next. From brisket to smashburgers, on any grill. Free to start, no card required.
GrillPilot's AI Chef knows your live readings, your stage, your past cooks, and your photos. It gives advice that actually applies to your cook — not generic internet wisdom.
Log your pit and meat temps. The AI Chef sees every reading and answers with real context — "you're in the stall, here's what to do."
Snap your bark, your bend test, your fire. Ask "is this ready to wrap?" or "what's wrong with my pellet feed?" Get an answer that's looking at the same picture you are.
Structured ingredients, prep checklist, stage tracker. Tick off "trim brisket, dry brine 8h, light coals at 9pm" — every step lives where you can see it during the cook.
"Generate a 12 lb pork butt for a Saturday party." GrillPilot writes the full recipe — ingredients, prep, stages, target temps — tuned to your grill type.
Recipe written for an offset? Adapt it for your kamado in one tap — wrap timing, wood choice, vent strategy all rewritten for your specific setup.
Every cook is archived with photos, notes, temps, and the full AI Chef conversation. Pull up last summer's brisket on your phone in seconds.
Add your kamado, pellet, offset, kettle, gas, or griddle. GrillPilot tunes its advice for each one.
Pick a recipe, generate one with the AI Chef, or set up manually. Log a temp every time you check the pit — the chart and the AI Chef update live.
Ask anything during the cook. The Chef sees your live data and replies with advice you can actually use right now.
The Free tier is a real product, not a teaser — full cook tracking, the AI Chef, recipe library. Pro unlocks photo analysis, a smarter model, and 25× the prompts.

I'm Scott. I cook on a Big Green Egg most weekends. I built GrillPilot because the apps that came with my thermometers were either glorified temp graphs or recipe vaults, and ChatGPT didn't know my grill, my stage, or my cook. So I made the thing I wanted: an AI Chef that's in the pit with me, knows what I'm cooking, and gives real advice. If you've ever tweaked a vent at 2am or texted a friend "wrap or push?" — this is for you.

No. Any thermometer works — you log readings yourself when you check the pit. Wireless thermometer integration is on the roadmap; if that matters to you, email scott@grillpilot.ai and I'll let you know when it ships.
All of them. GrillPilot is grill-agnostic — kamado (BGE, Kamado Joe, Primo), pellet (Traeger, Recteq, Pit Boss, Yoder), offset stick burner, gas, kettle, griddle (Blackstone), pizza oven. The AI Chef tunes advice for whichever you're cooking on.
No. The AI Chef coaches anything you cook outdoors — smashburgers on a Blackstone, stir-fry on a wok burner, pizza in a kamado, brisket on an offset. It's built for grilling generally, not just low-and-slow.
Yes. We don't sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for cross-app tracking. Your photos and content are never used to train AI models. Read the full privacy policy.
No. The Free tier covers full cook tracking, manual temp logging, the recipe library, and 20 AI Chef prompts a month — that's plenty for a casual weekend cook. Upgrade to Pro only when you want photo analysis, the smarter AI Chef model, and 500 prompts/month.
Because it's a different category. Most BBQ apps are recipe vaults that charge a few bucks. GrillPilot is an AI Chef coaching service, and running Claude isn't free. If you cook every weekend it pays for itself in saved cooks; if you cook occasionally, stay on the Free tier.
Standard Apple subscription cancellation: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → GrillPilot → Cancel. You keep Pro until the end of your billing period. No retention pressure, no exit surveys.
Eventually, yes — but iOS first. Android arrives once we have enough traction to justify a native port (we don't believe in compromised cross-platform builds for this kind of app).
