How does the Free tier work?
Free users get 20 AI Chef prompts a month plus full cook tracking, manual temp logging, and the recipe library. The 30-day window is rolling — the oldest prompt drops off as a new one is added. No card required.
What does Pro unlock?
Photo analysis (send pictures to the AI Chef), 500 prompts a month, and a smarter underlying model. Pro Monthly is $19.99/mo, Pro Yearly is $149.99/yr (a 37% discount). Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → GrillPilot → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.
I bought Pro but the app still says Free
Open the paywall (Settings tab → Upgrade) and tap Restore. If that doesn't work, force-quit and reopen the app. If still stuck, email me with your Apple ID email and the rough purchase time.
Why is the AI Chef temporarily unavailable?
GrillPilot has a daily AI cost ceiling to keep this solo project sustainable. On unusually busy days the AI Chef may pause briefly. This is rare — and when it happens, you can still use cook tracking, the recipe library, and history without interruption.
The AI Chef gave me bad advice
Tell me. The model is improving, but it has blind spots — your specific examples help. Email a screenshot of the conversation if you can.
How do I add my grill?
Settings → My grills → tap + → search for your model or tap "Custom grill" if it's not in the catalog. The AI Chef tunes its advice to whatever you have set up.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your cooks, recipes, AI Chef conversations, photos, and grill profiles. The action cannot be undone.
Is my data private?
Yes. We don't sell data, share with advertisers, or use it for cross-app tracking. Photos and content are never used to train AI models. Full privacy policy.
Will there be an Android version?
Eventually — but iOS first. Android arrives once we have enough traction to justify a native port.
